According to information recently obtained, the TAR's Center for the Restoration of Ancient Manuscripts will be opened this year, enabling the successful preservation of ancient manuscripts. The endangered manuscripts will be protected according to two methods. The first, called 'protecting the original', involves preserving the actual manuscript, whereas the second method, called 'restoring the original', involves scanning, copying, and digitizing the original. Work surveying and registering the ancient manuscripts began in 2008. Based on the successful outcomes of this process, a total of seven survey books on ancient manuscripts will be published.
